Sanjeevani Hasabnis, one of those few female percusssionist who are preserving the legacy of Tabla tradition. At a very early age her interest in percussion started taking shape in the form of Tabla.

She is very fortunate to learn from Pt.Ganapatrao Kavthekar, the senior stalwart of Farukhabad Lucknow gharana and disciple of the great Ustad Munir Khan saheb and Ustad Jahangir Khansaheb. In these golden years. Sanjeevani could study the nuances of traditional Tabla compositions. After the sad demise of her guru Pt. Kavthekarji, Sanjeevani started learning from late Pt.Suresh alias Bhai Gaytonde, tablamaestro. Besides her training under Gaytondeji, Sanjeevani also taking guidence from Padmashree Taalyogi Pt.Sureshji Talwalkar.

There are a number of prizes to her credit including the special prize titled as"Ustad Thirakwa Baaj" by Gunidas tabla competition at Dadar Matunga Cultural Center,Mumbai.

Sanjeevani's potential as a Vocalist is also shaped with the guidence from the great guru Sangeetacharya  Pt. D. V. Kanebuwa of Ichalakaranji, which proved beneficial to become a profound musician. She continued this passion by acclaiming grade by All India Radio as a Light Music Vocalist as well as Tabla Player and currently performing regularly.

She also played a role in Marathi Sangeet Natak named “SangeetSharada” and awarded as the ‘Best singer actress’ by Maharashtra Rangayan, NewDelhi.
